2026 is here and it’s the fastest and most furious yet - with changes packed in so densely we will need to cut a pioneering path through the thicket to stay ahead of the game!

We truly are entering uncharted territory in 2026. 

The world is an egg ready to crack open...

Neptune enters Aries on January 26th blurring the boundaries and awakening our deepest creative and imaginative powers. Time to draw our world afresh!

This is a powerful rebirth for us all, never to look back, but to enjoy the thrill of something new! And January provides a soft launching pad. The wheels truly hit the tarmac mid-February when Saturn joins Neptune for hard launch by February 20th!

But let’s look at January’s key events one by one.

Cancer Full Moon January 3rd: An Open Wound

The year hits the ground running. The Cancer Full Moon of January 3rd (10:02GMT at 13:01 degrees of Cancer) points to a big gash across the world - a gaping wound brimming with all sorts of rage, hurts and vulnerabilities, just oozing out, all exposed, for all to see. Big old hurts are coming out from this gash and they’re ripe for healing.

The Moon is conjunct Jupiter in Cancer at this full moon - a highly emotional time with Moon in its own sign and Jupiter exalted - but it is also square Chiron (and Eris) - with Chiron stationary in the skies exposing fault-lines in our defence.

This is a raw, vulnerable time, calling for a deeper engagement with our lives.

Whatever it is we need to feel safe, contained and nurtured, to heal and be ourselves, we can no longer ignore it. And if something is beyond repair, it must now be accepted. Time to enlarge our container to include more of our authentic selves in our living vision and decision making process.

Mars-Venus-Sun Conjunction January 6-9: Ambitious Plans!

Something big is cooking in the high echelons of power this month and it’s all hush-hush, behind high and mighty walls.

The Sun, Mars and Venus meet in a rare triple conjunction in Capricorn on January 6th-9th. This is a rare summit of leadership, money and initiative. The Sun meets Venus on the 6th, Venus meets Mars on the 8th and the Sun meets Mars on the 9th - a very rich couple of days.

All three planets are opposite big-wig Jupiter, making it all a bit de trop, too much of a good thing, perhaps greedy or overreaching, creating a fiery bottleneck of energy trying to break through.

This is all very exclusive and chi chi, planting seeds in the top power-structures of our world, and some high end aspirational seeds for each of us individually. It brings preference clarity. What values do we espouse? What desires and preferences inform our actions? And what’s the highest peak we aspire to?

Time to pull all resources together and reach for the top.

Mercury is also present, bringing up the rear, pen in hand, to seal the deal. Mercury harmonises with the Lunar Nodes on these days bringing important communications. Then, ten days later Mercury meets with Mars (18th), the Sun (21st) and finally Venus (29th) in quick succession delivering crucial information to urge us forward.

There is some serious business going on. The foundations for a new world, and an ambitious restructure for each of us, are all being laid down as we speak.

Get Past the Chiron-Jupiter Square… January 10th-16th

This raw vibe introduced by January’s Cancer Full Moon doesn’t dissipate all too quickly. Hurts and vulnerabilities continue to make themselves felt come the 10th-16th of January as first Venus then the Sun, Mars and finally Mercury all square Chiron in Aries and oppose Jupiter in Cancer.

Going after what we want is all well and good but there is a fly in the ointment: we’ll have to carry our flaws, hang ups and vulnerabilities with us.

And we are sure to be painfully aware of that. Still, doing our best even with these imperfections is exactly what makes for greater authenticity, bringing wholeness to our world and allowing for a real impact on others.

Pluto in Aquarius has the Final Word…

All this takes place under powerful Pluto’s shadow, king of the underworld.  For Pluto is waiting on the far side of this Capricorn summit, in the early degrees of Aquarius, promising irrevocable transformation through technology and other levelling powers. Each and every single planet must pass through Pluto’s dark gates before the month is out, coming out the other side practically unrecognisable.

Aquarius Season January 20th: Welcome One And All!

Aquarius season officially begins on January 20th as the Sun enters Aquarius a little before 2am (GMT) in the morning. But truly the party begins on the 17th. For that’s when Venus enters Aquarius, followed by the Sun and Mercury on the 20th, and finally Mars on the 23rd.

The summit continues! Only now we have Pluto lying in wait at the gates, in the first few Aquarian degrees - a wide gaping maw each planet has to pass through and come out the other side transformed.

Change is irrevocable, radical, unavoidable. And the latter half of January hammers this home.

What did we say about no looking back? We know we’re heading for irrevocable social and even biological changes through technology. There is no turning back. This is simply something we must survive and come out the other side stronger.

Pluto has the final word in our own personal lives too. Whatever you’re working on, you’ve gotta take that leap. Fear and all! Just do it.

Venus is the first to conjunct Pluto on January 20th. Then it’s Mercury and the Sun, walking hand in hand into the mouth of the dragon on the 22nd-23rd for some powerful decision making. The final planet to contact Pluto is Mars on the 27th, leaving us with a distinctly forceful, subversive and ‘empower yourself or perish’ theme as January draws to a close.

Neptune in Pisces Says His Final Good Byes January 17th-23rd

Neptune is doubtless the biggest news this month, as he prepares to enter Aries on January 26.

Neptune in Aries (2026-2039) is sure to inspire the seeding of a brand new world, reigniting our collective imagination not only for a century and a half, but for thousands of years to come.

It’s no less important that Neptune spends most of January in the last few minutes of Pisces, his home, the sign of absolute dissolution, in the dregs of the entire zodiac.

This is the month that Neptune in Pisces is saying his final goodbyes.

There is a strong sense now of something dissolving, ending, and a deep nostalgia for the past even as we see its ghost still fading. Don’t be surprised if you have waves of emotion, sadness, nostalgia, wistfulness, loss and even confusion washing over you right now. It’s the ghost of the old world fading.

At the same time, a powerful new wave is coming. Inspiration is strong right now calling forth greater spiritual powers so we can re-imagine a brand new future.

Every planet touches base with Neptune in Pisces for some inspiration before they reach tech-savvy Aquarius this month - a final reminder for us all to honour our true spiritual nature and imaginative capacities (our inner’ technologies), before we surrender to the upcoming inevitable technological march.

Expect sad, nostalgic, even sublimely inspired vibes to wash over you on the 17th, 19th, 20th and 23rd as Venus, the Sun, Mercury and finally Mars each sextile Neptune just as they enter Aquarius.

Saturn sextile Uranus January 20th: An Important Day!

This month is so densely packed with rare and galvanising aspects, it’s like a rich meal. We also have the beautiful Saturn-Uranus sextile perfecting on the 20th, with Neptune close by, for an incredibly rare one time only hit in the receptive signs of Taurus and Pisces!

Here we have one massive opportunity to upgrade an aspect of our lives by marrying quirk with tradition, structure with technology, genius with realism.

Kookie luxury meets structured imagination now, spiritual disciplines blend with progressive values, and we derive novel pleasures from old forms of the sublime. This is the very signature of improvement and innovation that has real practical application and makes an impact.

Every single planet activates this Saturn-Uranus combo as it crosses from Capricorn to Aquarius this month, giving us back-to-back chances to introduce new elements into our daily existence in a safe, practical and assimilable form. 

Again mark these dates: Venus is first to touch Saturn and Uranus on January 15th, then the Sun arrives on the 17th Sextile Saturn and trine Uranus, followed by Mercury on the 19th, and finally Mars on the 20th. These days present incredible opportunities! And with Mars activating Saturn and Uranus on the day of their sextile, the 20th, you can expect to be mobilised in very positive directions. And all this on a waxing moon (more on that in a minute). It’s time to mobilise!

Mercury Superior Conjunction with the Sun January 21st

Also this month, we have Mercury's big meeting with the Sun. This is Mercury’s superior conjunction to the Sun (with Mercury direct, fast and strong) arriving on the 21st of January.

This is a day of important news. Clarity at last!

Let’s not forget that the Sun and Mercury are walking hand in hand into the gates of Pluto (the underworld) at this point. So transformation is the name of the game. Secrets could come to light now and powerful deals can be made. And if something happens to be scary or unsavoury? Better to know... Better to face things head on and make a conscious decision.

Capricorn New Moon January 18th: Mobilise Your Troops Toward A Single Aim!

Have I left something out? Why the most important bit!

It is in the midst of that incredibly organised universe that we get January’s Capricorn New Moon. It arrives on the 18th (at 19:51 GMT at 28:43 degrees of Capricorn), and it activates THE LOT: it conjuncts the Capricorn bunch right at the moment that Mars and Mercury meet; it knocks at Pluto’s gate only a few steps away in Aquarius, currently drawing Venus to its maw; it casts Neptune’s magic spell to mesmerise and inspire, and it fires off the funky Saturn-Uranus fireworks. This New Moon even touches on the Jupiter-Chiron gash across the world, reminding us to stay true to ourselves. Thats every single planet in the sky!

One ring to rule them all...

This Capricorn New Moon brings it all together into one giant single strategy. The time has come to consolidate power and pull all our resources toward a singular, powerful and ambitious aim.

Neptune enters Aries January 26th: The New World Egg Is Ready To Crack…

It’s only after all has been said and done that Neptune quietly slips into Aries and carries us with it, in a dream like state, into a whole other world. A new reality. 

Things are still hazy and won’t be clear until mid to end February. For, by mid-February it’s Saturn’s turn. Saturn enters Aries on February 14th and meets Neptune in Aries on February 20th (with Moon activating them both on the 19th when the penny already drops!).

This is a unique conjunction that will seed a world we cannot even imagine. For it will install new imaginative capacities in us! It will awaken us as pioneers navigating uncharted territory, bravely cutting through the spiritual thicket in an as yet unformed, unfamiliar land.

So yes. Something huge is shifting in the high echelons of power this month. And it might not be quite visible yet but you can feel it. That restlessness. That sense of being on edge, unnerved, it is because things are radically changing.

This is edge-of-seat times. And come February, there is no turning back.
