The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction at 0 Aries, 20th February 2026

This is it. The seminal Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries that every astrologer on god’s green earth is talking about arrives on February 20th. And it will define a whole new era for humanity!

This is literally the seed of a new kind of consciousness. We are evolving as we speak, our very DNA is transforming, our consciousness software and everything about how we dream up our world into existence is changing.

We cannot even imagine what the world will look like from here on in because the imaginative capacities to do so are being installed as we speak!

Everything is changing. We’re entering uncharted territory.

Being fully present and alert in our lives is no longer a luxury. It is a must. The Big Sleep is over. Time to wake up!

Saturn Neptune Conjunction in Aries: A New Door Swings Open At The Hinges Of The World!

The biggest news right now is the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries. This is an event we haven't seen in millennia... For while Saturn and Neptune meet every 36 years or so, this conjunction is uniquely placed at 0 degrees Aries. This is the first degree of the entire zodiac, the start of spring, the moment that new life bursts forth. It is the pure impulse to be, the equivalent of a great big door swinging open at the very hinges of the world to let in brand new life.

We have not had this kind of conjunction for at least 6000 years - and that puts it literally at the very start of civilisation as we know it, back in Mesopotamia!

My computer program spits out 4361 BCE as the previous date Saturn and Neptune met at 0 degrees Aries. We're talking here the 4th millennium BCE, literally the rise of civilisation and the invention of writing. The beginning of the so called Bronze Age.

You can understand the enormity of the threshold at which we currently stand!

Time to emerge from the abyss, fresh as a babe. This is a brand new civilisation in the making.

Other interesting dates, when Saturn and Neptune met near that 0 degree Aries include 594 BCE (2 Aries) & 1742 BCE (29 Pisces).

I am no historian. A quick google search suggests that the 1740s BCE marked the beginning of the end of the Babylonian empire - the end of en Era (Babylon being finally conquered by the Persians in the 500s BCE). This tallies with the conjunction taking place in the final degree of entire zodiac in 1742 BCE, the degree of total dissolution - the end of something that lasted thousands of years.

The 594 BCE date is even more interesting for present purposes. For it is taking us to the founding of the Ancient Greek civilisation that forms the basis of the modern Western democracies! It takes us to the time of the fabled Solon, ruler of Athens . Interestingly, this date coincides perfectly with the wiping of debts and the end of debt-slavery. Solon implemented 'seisachtheia' meaning 'the shaking off of burdens'. His restructuring of society in 594 BCE laid the foundations of the ancient Athenian democracy some decades down the line, the ideals of which survived all the way to the present day!

This is how powerful that early Aries degree is, even when not hitting exactitude...

For exactitude, look to the rise of civilisation 6000 years ago! We don't know much of what was going on before Mesopotamia. Whatever it was, that conjunction wiped the slate clean... And here we are again in 2026! Big Stuff!

We are at the threshold of brand new things we can barely understand and which will define life for centuries, millennia - far ahead of our lifetimes!

All we can hope for is that we are equal to the task.

The Saturn-Neptune Cycle in the Aries Seed: Calling Forth All Superheroes!

Beyond the enormity of the 2026 conjunction (due to its placement at 0 Aries), Saturn and Neptune meet quite regularly, every 36 years, in a different zodiac sign. What does the regularity of their cycle represent?

The Saturn-Neptune cycle is what weaves spirit into matter. It defines the intangible ideals upon which we periodically re-build our world.

Neptune brings the etheric substance that magnetises Saturnian matter into form, the visions around which matter coalesces, the romantic ideals that periodically inform new civilising structures.

At each conjunction we have a new Zeitgeist incarnating through humanity’s collective reality.

So what is Aries all about?

If Pisces is the long sleep, Aries is the wake up call. This is the era of Individuation. This is Pure Will awakening within mankind.

We are entering a time when the past is wiped clean for a fresh start. This is rebirth on a global scale, the mother of all fresh starts.

Can we learn anything from the previous Saturn-Neptune conjunctions?

Saturn-Neptune in Capricorn 1989

The previous Saturn-Neptune conjunction was in Capricorn in 1989. And in true Capricorn fashion, the ideological aspirations that informed that past nearly four decades (and which were very fresh back then but have now gone horribly stale) are what gave rise to the current hyper-corporate, over-financialised, global top-down hierarchical world that we presently live in.  A Capricorn vision through and through - think of the ideals represented by the tarot card of the Devil.

To build a new vision, each Saturn-Neptune conjunction first needs to demolish what stands in the way. The stale old stuff.

What did the Neptune-Saturn conjunction dissolve in Capricorn in the late 80s? In true Capricorn fashion, it brought us the fall of the Berlin Wall. For what does Capricorn represent if not literal brick walls? Neptune and Saturn came and dissolved it. It also brought us the end of the Cold War and Communism in Europe. Of course, Capricorn also represents goliath governing structures. So down those went. But there is another dimension to this event. For the Cold War also represented polarisation and balance between two poles, a remnant of the previous Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Libra in 1952-53. The ideologies planted in the early 1950s were stale and had to go. And thus they got demolished with the new conjunction in 1989.

Saturn-Neptune in Libra 1952-53

Going back further, we had a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Libra in the 1952-53. As noted, this created the two-pole power balance of the Cold War Era. But it also brought us incredible flourishing in art and culture - all Venusian pursuits, the ruler of Libra. It heralded the whole post-war era of commodification, advertising, and easier living, as well as a new era of glamorous film stars, celebrities and beauty-models. In true Libra fashion, the 1952-53 placed relationships and gender roles in the spotlight. On the one hand we have the ideal of the perfect housewife of the 50s, on the other we saw the clear dissolution of the structure of relationships from that point on, and a structural rise in equality between the sexes.

The 1952-53 conjunction in Libra even coincided with the ascension of a female monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, to the British throne, at the same time marking an important symbolic point of transition from Empire to Commonwealth. This reflects the transition from one Saturn-Neptune cycle to another - the previous conjunction in Leo (empire and monarchy), giving way to new ideals of partnership and commercial agreements (Libra).

Saturn-Neptune in Leo 1917

And before that, we had a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Leo in 1917. These are times that idolised fun (swinging 20s), and romanticised royalty and privilege, seeing the creation of the House of Windsor even as the British Empire reached its maximum territory. At the same time, this is the cycle that saw the end of the landed gentry in Britain - the demolition of a whole way of life - as well as the Russian revolution, the end of the Ottoman empire and the destruction of most European monarchies.

Repeatedly we see a combination of idolising certain ideals represented by the sign, whilst also wrecking destruction on already established versions of the very thing being idolised. So what's next?

Saturn-Neptune in Aries 2026

So what about the upcoming Aries ideals? What will be aspire to? What could we see go?

Aries is the quintessential self made man or woman. We could well see the fearless rise of the individual even amidst the erosion of individual freedom, sovereignty and personal identity.

Aries is the brave warrior and pioneer, the fiercely independent individualist.

Nothing is more important to Aries than personal agency. But the meaning of this is about to be radically altered.

What about the flip-side? What might we see collapse during this period? Aries is ruled by Mars, ruling war, aggression, weapons… Will we see the dissolution of the machinery of war? The demolition of Nato? Of the military industrial complex? Or will we see the glorification of the warrior? The leader? The hero? All is to play for.

Old martial ideals are currently being demolished to make way for new ones. Saturn-Neptune will ask of us: what is truly worth fighting for?

In this way, and whatever challenges may arise, Aries puts us in charge of our own fate.

Saturn-Neptune: Russia in the Spotlight

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in the 20th century has coincided with huge leadership changes in Russia. We had the Bolshevik revolution in 1917. We had Stalin’s death and Putin’s birth in 1952-53. We had the fall of the USSR in 1989.

As for the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries in 1703, it saw the founding of St Petersburg the old capital of Russia!

What’s coming down the pipeline? A change of leadership in Russia? Or something more politically complex? BRICs nations on the ascendancy? Or something else? Watch this space!

Just as the Saturn-Neptune cycle is associated with Russia, we have other cycles associated with other parts of the world (all based on the pioneering work of astrologer André Barbault). China is said to be associated to the Saturn-Pluto cycle that had became precise in January 2020(!), while the West is associated with the Saturn-Uranus cycle.

Where are we at in this cosmic dance? China had its moment of renewal and Russia is next. What about the West? We are not due for renewal for another six years or so, in 2032. For that’s when Saturn and Uranus conjunct in Gemini. That’s when we will finally pull our finger out. It's six years away. Again, watch this space....

Saturn-Neptune Conjunction February 20th: Pure Will

Saturn and Neptune conjunct exactly just once, at 00:45 degrees Aries on February 20th 2026 at 16:54 UT/GMT.

Watch for the Moon going over this point on the 19th, putting a powerful spotlight on this imminent event. (Venus and the Sun arrive in late March and Mars and Mercury in April delivering the first shoots of the conjunction’s message this spring!)

Whether world events crystallise around this seminal astrological moment of February 20th right this red hot minute or not, we are living at a historic moment, the importance of which, as the seed of a brand new human civilisation, will be a historical landmark for generations to come - perhaps for millennia! As for now? We know nothing. It's too soon to tell. This is the moment the Fool steps into the unknown. But how great to be here now!
